Special arrival information
Mill Street is a large residence with 447 students, but on-site parking is very limited. To ensure a smooth and positive move-in experience for everyone, arrivals will be staggered.
It is not possible for all students to move in on the same day, particularly just before courses start. Please plan your arrival carefully and choose a date and time that works for you.
Key Collection – Booking Required
All new residents must book a key collection appointment.
- You will receive an email from Unipol with a link to book your time slot, or you will be able to do this through the Unipol Students App.
- You can only collect keys during your pre-booked slot
- Please bring photo ID with you
If you are travelling a long distance, allow extra time for your journey. Leeds City Centre and the building will be busy on arrival, so thank you for your patience.

Directions to Mill Street
Using SatNav?
Mill Street is just off the Leeds Inner Ring Road.
- Use postcode: LS9 8HE
- This will take you to Foundry Street, where the Mill Street car park entrance is located
- Foundry Street is a shared access single lane street so please do not park on, block or unload from Foundry Street. Saxton Lane, which is the road at the end of Foundry Street, has double yellow lines and is a main exit route on to the city centre ring road for West Yorkshire Ambulance Service. Please do not park here.
The car park is for drop off and unloading ONLY.
Spaces are very limited:
- On-site parking is for unloading only
- You will be limited to 10 minutes to drop off / unload belongings. You must then move your car in to an alternative car park.
- Please park sensibly and be aware of other vehicles and pedestrians moving around you.
- Do not bring large vans or multiple vehicles.
- Staff will be available to help you unload luggage.
After unloading, vehicles MUST be moved to an external car park.

Walking into Leeds City Centre
Mill Street is very close to the city centre.
- Around 8 minutes’ walk to the main shopping area.
- Cross towards New York Street, passing Leeds Parish Church
- Continue into the city centre where there are plenty of shops, eateries, and things to do nearby.
