Ideally located on Radford Boulevard, Nottingham Trent University and University of Nottingham can both be reached in under 20 minutes by bus or 25-30 minutes on foot.

Flats range between 5-6 beds all with en-suite bathrooms and feature modern, spacious kitchen/living rooms with smart TV. A free washer/dryer in each flat (so no waiting in communal laundrettes! ) and all utilities are included in the rent.

The building’s new impressive communal area lends itself to Unipol’s exciting social events calendar, and the quiet study spaces and on-site cardio studio are open to all tenants free of charge.

What happens if I cannot take up my place at University?

If you let us know in writing before midday (12:00) on 21st August 2025 we will release you from your tenancy.

This policy is intended for prospective tenants who do not meet their grades and do not end up studying at either Nottingham university.

Can I pick my flat and room?

You are able to select the room type, but not the flat type.

Rooms are allocated on a first come first served basis to 1^st year NTU students, starting with top of Block A

How long is the contract for NTU 1st year tenants?

For 2025 - 26 academic year, the contract length for 1st year Undergraduate NTU tenants is

46 weeks, tenancy dates are 12/09/2025 - 31/07/2026

What is the difference between a Standard, Deluxe and Executive room at Cotton House?

Cotton House is a Grade II listed building and due to this rooms of the same Room Types may not be identical.

Room types are a combination of bedroom size, view from the window, the communal area layout, size and numbers of occupants per flat
- we thought it is only fair it is reflected in price.

Some 5th Floor rooms have a slanted ceilings and a Velux window.

Can I live with my friends?

Yes, if you apply at the same time.

Is there parking?

There is no dedicated parking at Cotton House - there are great bus transport links and e-bike stations nearby

How big are the beds and how much storage do they have underneath?

The beds are 3/4 size (AKA Small Double) - 4ft x 6ft

The heights of space under the bed is approx. 15cm, one can fit two shallow storage boxes underneath and plenty of other cardboard boxes and items around them.
